VP comes to debate and our magic President

The debates continue and this time the Vice President and Congressman Paul Ryan had an exchange of idea in the form of a debate.  The elder statesman, Biden, was aggressive, well informed and combative.  Ryan held his ground though, was respectful to the VP and although he did not "win" the debate, I feel that he lived up to any expectations that anyone had for him.  If Biden won, it was by grabbing the debate by the throat and never letting go; if Ryan won, it was by keeping his cool and letting Biden overreach.

Foreign policy was finally on the debated but without a 3rd policy candidate to push the discourse to getting out of Afghanistan; it is more political theater.  I still haven't lost my enthusiasm for Gary Johnson how would have talked about leaving Afghanistan, legalization of marijuana and ending the Federal Reserve.  It is entertaining but the debate seems kind of fixed, it is like pro wrestling verses UFC cage fighting.  When the parameters are scripted and the debate is limited to the confines of the Democrats or Republicans policies, it is a form of censorship that others running for President aren't given the same kind of opportunities to express their policies.

The city of Oakland, CA is sueing the Feds to prevent closing the Haborside Health Center, a Medical Marijuana Dispensary.  The Feds, attempting a major FU to the Medical Marijuana community, is to seize the property of the largest medical marijuana dispensary in America.  The AG, Eric Holder name is on the paperwork bringing this to the Federal Courts.  I will be following this case, as I am eagerly awaiting the elections to see what happens in the states attempting to legalize marijuana.
One final thought, the items in the President's hand are good luck charms that he carries with him at all times.  It is pretty cool that he does this and I can relate to it. I like that he has a bracelet that was given to him by a soldier, that he has strange and esoteric items that have a personal meaning to the President.  I do carry military challenge coins once in a while, a 9/11 coin once in a while from Flt 93.  It has a personal meaning to me because I was in PA during 9/11 at a military school.
